Add a bit of social history for your living room with this military style upcycled lamp with ammo box base tin helmet shade.
This lamp has been lovingly created using a genuine army issue ammunition tin box as the base with a World War 1 Tin Helmet in the turtle shell shape.
I have carefully created this lamp by attaching the light fitting to the top of the ammo tin and resting the helmet on a lampshade stand.
No damage or harm has been caused to the helmet.
The ammo tin can be opened and used for storage.
We have treated the helmet with a light coat of wax to preserve the original patina.
I couldn't decide which side of the ammo tin should have been at the front, as all four sides are interesting and feature various warning labels.
I have trailed the cable on the outside of the ammo tin, this enables you to decide which side you want as the face side.
Only 3 of these lamps are available.
Two of the helmets are as pictured, the third is painted white with an "R" on the front.
